Always dangerous, but with a QB room that isn’t what it used to be they are struggling. Rising is walking wounded and I can’t imagine him ever playing again after this season. ASU is hav8ng a dream season and did everyone else a favor last night knocking off Utah 27-19. Rising was only 16 of 37 with no TDs and 3 picks.

Testifying
They kept playing Rising last night and to everyone watching it, it seemed like they threw in the towel.

Did you also see a lot of gloating from Utah fans online about running a train on this league before they'd played a single game in the Big 12?
Yep we are all as Big 12 fans just having a laugh at the part of the Utah fanbase that thought it would just be a cakewalk and they would run the table. I don’t remember any ISU fan making those claims.

Bottom line, this league is the most fun to watch from top to bottom. Parity is a good thing, it literally means every game matters. It’s going to be extremely hard for any single team to dominate over the course of a full season.

I think it’s also fair to say that Utah had to stumble a couple times early for some of their fans to realize that.

Also, let’s be honest, Rising should have been pulled by halftime. The fact that they rolled him out there for the entire game is wild.

Looking at the schedule now we really lucked out. I saw @utah and no crack at BYU or the other 4 corner schools as a bad thing. Looks different now. Tonight's game is huge! After this, road games the rest of the way out don't look near as daunting. Who wins the conference is anyone's guess, but from the football I've seen we are the best. Baylor sucks, but last week 90% of our starting D was out and we still pounded them. Depth on both lines looks good, best secondary in the conference, multiple skill guys on offense who can take over a game, special teams are solid. The sum of our parts looks better across the board.

That toxic fan base and a hole coach wears in a team after some time. Not a good recipe.

I've seen a lot of Cyclone fans online gloating about that Utah result last night. I might have held off on that for about 24 hours.
Difference being ISU fans weren’t trying to belittle the conference and teams in the conference during the offseason

Utah fans thought they would steamroll the big 12. Now they aren’t even in the top half of the conference

Don’t blame anyone for giving Utah fans what they had coming. Edit: and even better is the fact that BYU is undefeated. Utah fans must be furious today.

Agreed. One week at a time, but certainly a loss for us likely still doesn't jeopardize the title game...THATS the game I want to win.

Man, I’ve seen rising compete at a really high level. I have a feeling that he’ll get back there eventually.
