Not TERRIBLY surprising, but I don't think they'll actually start the year ranked.

I for one am looking forward to Iowa being better next year. The last two Iowa games at Hilton have been rather boring as both games you knew who was going to win after the first 10 minutes. This is the first time in a while that we have two chances at home in the non comference to get a quality win. I personally think we will beat Iowa since we're a bad match up for them and we will be at Hilton. Either way it will be refreshing to say a competitive game.

how can you say we are a bad match up for them? They had a young team and we had a bunch of seniors. Despite that, they handled us pretty well in Iowa City. We are going to play them early with brand new guards, it is going to be very tough. If we played them later in the year, I like our chances better but going up against an experienced team in early December I don't like our chances. Also keep in mind that Iowa gets extra game and practices with an already experienced team as they are going to Europe.

Lol at BU and Iowa on that list.

Thanks King. Now we get to listen to Hok fans talk about this for the next six months. Great.

Schools will be scrambling to copy Iowa's blueprint now - schedule light, don't beat anyone ranked, Nit = ranking? What?

They don't lose anyone but May, I suppose that is fair....but what they didn't account for is Fred's powers to make any group of players great.

Some of you are pathetic. I could care less where and if Iowa is ranked.

Grow a pair and stop being a little brother.

ummm...........where's Michigan? Granted they will lose Burke and Hardaway, but they had 5 freshman on the court at the same time last night. I guess Robinson and McCury (sp?) might go pro too, but not to have them listed in the top 25 seems odd.

Brennan is an Iowa apologist and a native of the state. He and King came up with the top 25 ranking so I guess it makes sense that they would choose Iowa over teams like Michigan or Oklahoma State or something.

Deep thoughts must have gone in to this being the night after the national championship.

I would love to beat a ranked team early though.

I'd love it if Iowa was carrying a low top-25 ranking coming into the game next year. I'd still feel good about the match-up, it would be an early good win for the team, and we'd have the pleasure of knocking them out of the rankings (hopefully for the rest of the year). What's not to like?

The Iowa fan base bashed ISU all year for being successful in a down year for the conference. Ironically enough it appears its going to be a down year in the Big. Iowa fans are looking forward to Iowa succeed in a down conference next year.

I don't know when the schedule flips, but I'd like to see them play the hard version next year and see how they fare.
