The double take from the first guy ( looking back at Ankiel in disbelief ) is kind of funny. :biglaugh:

Just think, if only the pitcher's mound was 300 feet away, he may still be pitching...that is seriously impressive though. Ankiel's whole story is impressive.
The staff still says he is the best pitcher on the roster. In warmups and other practice activites, he pitches circles around the others. His curveball literally makes a buzzing sound due to the laces spinning in the air. He "coaches" the younger pitchers.

they were great tosses, but it looked to me as if both made it in there, he seemed to get generous calls
For the record - to people I am GUESSING are Cubs fans: he is no longer a pitcher, he's tearing it up at the spot he should and will stay at. get over the pitching, The Cards don't need him to pitch anyway, we got enough of that to go around, especially once we get healthier.
People complaing about his HGH use: he did it when it was LEGAL so you cannot say he is tainted...also he used it to rehab from injury if I am correct and I guarantee his legal usage of HGH in the past has NO AFFECT whatsoever on his great play now, years later.
Ankiel is a great baseball player, it's no secret and he is NOT a cheater so don't lump him in with the Bonds of this world and such.
