return the favor for all the Kentucky fans on the streets in Louisville that thanked us for beating UCONN by accepting their handshake and then genuinely thanking them for beating Western Kentucky for us also :biglaugh: It is going to be a mad house on Saturday with all of the freaks in blue running around with painted-on unibrows!

Glad the UK fans are being cool, but it sure sounds like they are in danger of looking right past us too. Didn't work out so well for UConn. I assume it has more to do with them disliking the UConn fanbase, right? UK couldn't have seen them as a significant threat to their tourney run, could they?

I don't remember because I tuned out the media before the game...but did they (the media) really think that UConn had a shot against UK for their epic matchup that was inevitable?

I don't understand why they would thank us for beating UConn. Looked to me like the better team won last night. If I were a team looking towards the next round, after watching the UConn ISU game, I'd much rather play UConn.

Yeah, the first half they were all going crazy in the arena cheering for us...when we got up 20 the UK lady next to me leaned over and said "Hey are ya'll playing UK next?" and I responded that we were if we hung on...she said "Wow, if you play like this you'll beat us easy!"

I did notice in the second half they weren't cheering quite so wildly for us

Their fans may overlook ISU, Calipari will not. He recruited Royce, and knows what he is capable of. He is a cheater, but a very good Coach and will have them ready to play. Going to be a very fun game to watch. Our composure throughout the UConn win was impressive, even when the refs pulled UConn back into it.

The support from the UK fanbase last night was from their hatred of anything and everything Big East (Louisville is in the Big East, so they hate everything Big East, including UCONN).

I don't think it has anything to do with competitiveness. Mostly just their cockiness and not wanting UCONN to do well at all.

Hopefully we surprise them tomorrow too. That would be amazing.

Please tell them to come on here after the game and sell all those tickets they bought up for Atlanta. I need 4!
