Well at least we aren't the only ones who think we got hosed...

This is no surprise. We already knew that everybody but the most biased Texas fans and the worst of the tavern hoks agree that we got screwed. Actually, most of the other categories also agree we got screwed but are rubbing our faces in it.

At the bottom of the article, there's a poll that says 76% think ISU got hosed. It has 18,000 votes.

Every guy on PTI today said Rhoads was in the right and that the call was clearly blown. Bomani Jones said that he knew the call wouldn't go any way other than Texas' based on the recent history in the Big 12.

Both guys on Around the Horn also agree ISU got hosed. I think the only national media person I have seen who disagrees is Dan Wolken from USA Today.

I work with three hawk fans - meaning they actually went to iowa and graduated and support all the sports not just football - anyway, they all told me this morning that Iowa State got hosed and that if that would have been texas recovering the football they would have scored because none of those refs would ever have taken off their orange colored glasses to hear a whistle and let them run all the way.

Let's just kick texas out of the big 12...what good are they if all the refs do is find a way to help them win.

Made me sick to my stomach last night watching the game and kind of sick now just thinking about all those p.i's that went their way...sad when my wife was actually watching with me was angered just as much as I was and she hates football!

Your wife better be amazing in every single other aspect, I could never handle a woman who doesn't love football. My wife is already planning NFL Sunday Ticket into the budget for next year. I don't even have to do anything for it.

To the main part of your point, my M-I-L who was sitting with the kids said to us when we got home

"How come they gave the ball back to the Orange Texas team toward the end of the game? The Iowa guy clearly had it"

Shows how much she knows, and it was even clear to her. I can't believe she was watching it, but she told my wife she thought she would see us in the stands. I win Father of The Year award for leaving my impressionable children with her. I know.

Yeah, shes ok...as I get the glare from her as she is sitting here watching me type this.

We have our own space going here...I watch all my college football from start to finish on Saturday's or any time ISU is on. For example, I watched football last week Thursday night, Friday Night and all day/night Saturday. About 20 hours of football all on my big screen t.v. She knows that she is a Weekend Widow come football season.

She normally doesn't watch football, but her shows were done and she thought she'd spend some time with me. Knows I love football and such. Plus, since we are 'empty nesters' (son attends Iowa State) she usually watches her shows in one room and I watch mine in another which works out just fine.

She even asked me why that wasn't considered a fumble and a touchdown because nobody touched him and he was not going to be tackled by anybody! See...even she knew something was wrong and knows absolutely nothing of the sport.

Getting ready for work today and I had some random shirt on. Just before leaving, I decided...eff it, the punches in the nutz sucked, but I'm flying the colors, because I'm proud of how the team did last night....not completely satisfied, but proud. Obviously, I'm in Herky land, but I heard nothing but "you guys got screwed" all day long. One random KSU fan included in that.

The only things other than that were a couple ISU fans saying we shouldn't have gotten in that position (valid point), some admitted Iowa homers on a local radio show saying we did it to ourselves (ok, kinda true, but you don't get to say that), and an Iowa fan who said "Hey, who won that game last night?" I thought he was trolling me, so I said "Iowa State, but the refs didn't see it that way". I think he saw the semi-clenched teeth and "I want to punch you" look on my face, and he said...sorry, seriously, I didn't see who won. He's kind of a doofus, so I backed down and said that it was a rough loss, check it out online, it's out there.

Not to be "that guy," but Around The Horn is the stupid ESPN show with "all the guys" from the press who get points by making silly, obvious observations in obnoxious ways. PTI is the entertaining show with "both guys" Kornheiser and Wilbon. You just got your show titles mixed up, is all.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I have a buddy living in Austin...he told me Texas fans he's talked too down there since Thursday night feel Iowa State got cheated and they are basically embarrassed they had to win a game like that
