Can't believe we are wasting these defensive efforts week after week, I think that's what's bugging me the most a couple hours later. You don't even need a young offense to be good, or out of this world special teams. Just don't suck and take the points that are there for you and you win.

This was a tough game to watch, but there is a lot of season left. Got to keep the faith.

We aren’t bad but we might end up with a really bad record. We needed Baylor and KU and hopefully pick off one more win…. Now we need a major turn around in our offense to avoid an 8 or 9 loss season…

You ever hear of the saying, "You are what your record is?"

Yep! I got 'dumbed' in August 2021 for warning that just because 2020 was rosy doesn't mean it just automatically carries over and wahlah.

There was some similar stuff this week: 'But KU was really bad last October!' and 'who have they beat anyway?' like last year matters or ISU has beaten anyone good.

We've beaten 0 good teams since 2020. We didn't beat anyone good in 2019 either. It really goes back to the Baylor or Drake game in 2018 where something happened and everything changed.

Semantics but Okie State was good last season. But yeah while it's been mainly close losses, the overall seasons have been pretty marginal and it's often felt like quite a few wins were left out there.

Lol, they just beat #7 Oklahoma State last year. Some of you guys have selective memory, or you just plain don't know what you're talking about.

I'm not doom and gloom yet. I think a lot of the mistakes we are making are things we can clean up with some emphasis on it. Special teams especially has been a sore spot but the coverage penalty was a dumb play that be corrected as is knowing when to get the hell away from a punt you shouldn't try to catch. The kicking today was rough but I blame the coaching staff for not going for it on 4 and 1.

It is frustrating to keep questioning the play calling by Manning though. The year he was with the Colts happened to be Purdy's best season so makes you wonder the more we see these odd play calls in key situations. The o line was bad today but the short crossing routes and not using Dean more in the passing game are things that can be worked on. We have some good deep threats at WR but Manning hasn't taken many shots down field it feels like, been a lot of dink and dunk crap.

The defense looked good today. For all the hype about Daniels our D really shut him down today. We outgained KU by 100 yards and had the ball 9 more minutes than them, it's pathetic we could not finish drives with points today.

Did we not beat Okie State last year? Some of you guys need to take a break.
