I am a huge Wes Anderson fan and am currently going through his catalog again, albeit not in order of release. Just finished Life Aquatic, which happens to be one of my favorite movies in general.

I am curious about others feelings on his movies, which ones you like, and what other directors have styles that would be good to check out.

The Life Aquatic is my favorite of his films, and possibly my favorite movie in general. Bill Murray's entire performance is some of the best acting of all time, in my opinion. The scene where he returns home, and introduces Ned to his wife, is flat out incredible.

the opening sequence when he is explaining what happened, what he plans to do and get asked why, only to reply "revenge' is one of Anderson's best 3 minutes of film.

I don’t get why the movie didn’t do as well as some of his others honestly. My girlfriend just watched it with me and she really enjoyed it.

Or when they get financing for the movie, but only under the condition that they all have to take a piss test, bring along the "bond company stooge", and promise not to kill the shark. And he says something like "I'll fight it, but I'll let it live." That whole sequence is very Wes Anderson.

In our house, we watch The Fantastic Mr. Fox probably 3-4 times per year, or more. It's been one of our kids favorites for years. Great family film, but also one that adults can enjoy. Isle of Dogs is held in similar, if slightly less celebrated regard.

If I die first and I most certainly will you will be my sole heir. There's not much in the kitty except a set of ivory backed hairbrushes and my library of romantic poetry but when the time comes these will be yours
along with whatever we haven't already spent on whores and whiskey.

I saw Rushmore twice by myself in the theater which I've never done before or since. In my top five films. Absolutely brilliant with an amazing soundtrack. Perfect movie, imo.

I love them all, Life Aquatic or Fantastic Mr Fox is probably my favorite. I’d love to see George Clooney in a live action Wes anderson film, I feel like he’d knock it out of the park.

Also after this SNL skit I feel like I need to see a Wes Anderson horror film.
