What are one or two games in your bracket that no one seems to be picking but...

New question: How far do you pick ISU in your brackets? Are you the homer who picks us to the F4? Or the emotional hedger that picks the early exit?

I usually start with where I want to see us, then go a round lower. Unless it’s a year like last year where I just can’t see us getting bounced at that point.

I'd be happy with the second weekend this year, between the injuries and Gilbert absence. Currently have us losing to UNC in the second round. Would obviously be happy if we met them and beat them.

Rewatched a bit of the Arizona @ Iowa State game tonight. We absolutely throttled them in the first half. In that game, Keshon probably had 5 turnovers in the first half . A lot of them out of control head scratchers. He was otherwise pretty non-existent. We also looked pretty impressive @KState without Keshon and against Cincy in the Big 12 tourny w Keshon playing just a handful of minutes.

I dont know is it possible we are a better team without the injured Keshon that was playing irratic due to frustrstion? Time will tell. I wouldn't be surprised if they come out and play their best basketball of the season this weekend.

I think of course our ceiling was much higher if we had the Keshon we saw in Maui and early in the year. I think it can also be true that maybe our floor is higher without him. When he had those 6 or 7 turnover games that led to runouts it was just a killer.

Reading this thread leads me to believe many (most?) of you only fill out one bracket. Or maybe you enter multiple contests, but pretty similar picks.

I've entered 4 brackets in 3 different contests with a fair amount of variation. However, I do have Auburn, Florida, and Houston in the final 4 in all 4 brackets. Duke in one (so all 4 #1s), Alabama in the other 3. Chalkiest Elite 8 ever for me, across the board. I just think those 5 teams are above the rest. Could throw Tennessee in with them and I think Houston-Tennessee will be a great game.

Thats roughly what mine looks like, pretty chalky this year. Although i have AZ or BYU rather than Bama. I just cant see Bama doing it again, or Duke going so far with a young team and no Brown.

Watch Bucky come out of there...

I did have:

Yale over Texas A&M (L)
VCU over BYU (L)
Arkansas over Kansas (W)

I did not have

McNeese over Clemson (L)
Drake over Missouri (looking like a L)
Creighton over Louisville (L)

Pretty awful day 1 for my bracket.
