I think they will do alright and there will be nights they go off offensively. They are strong on D which means they will keep games close. Not every team is going to have strong enough post play to counter Dickenson either.
True, but in a round robin with Houston, Iowa State, and Duke I think those three teams have what Kansas has on the defensive end PLUS a much better offense. So, Kansas 'going off' isn't highly likely and Kansas' defense isn't enough to keep them in touch when they aren't firing

My take from that is that I would really love to play Auburn again and think it was a fluke they won the first time. We were ahead by 18 early in the game and kind of let up on the gas after that.
That loss still stings to me. We had them absolutely crushed and then just got murdered in the second half. Auburn had played more games and better competition before that game. If we played Auburn again I think we would beat them. Hopefully the next time we face Auburn is in April in San Antonio.

The bold really isn't accurate. It's true that Auburn jumped all over the Cyclones to start the 2nd half, from down 16 at half to a tie at 13:51 left. However, it was a dogfight from there on. ISU took the lead back and held it until Broome tied it again with 4:33 left. Auburn took It's first lead at 4:01, but ISU tied it back up with 1:53 left and retook the lead with 51 seconds left.

I know that blowing the big lead was disappointing, but I feel what they showed by not collapsing is much more important and indicative of the makeup of this team.

We also had the ball for a possible last possession win but turned it over, and then Auburn converted on a tip in from an offensive rebound. I felt like it was pretty even, but also felt like we were the better team. It would be huge for us to get a #1 national ranking but it's going to take an Auburn lose before we have one to get there. Or we could ask SMU how we can pass a team that beat us in the rankings.

Agree, but I wouldn't say we got "murdered" in the second half. Auburn was scary good and ISU didn't play their best for the first 10 minutes of the second half. After that though, it was pretty even until Broom's tip in.

If they played again on a truly neutral court the favorite would probably only be a 1 point favorite at best.

Good Lord let these two teams meet in the title game. :jlh:

No definitive answer here, but a fun little exercise for discussion:

Auburn beat ISU 83-81
Duke beat Auburn 84-79
Kansas beat Duke 75-72
ISU beat Kansas 74-57

Fun circle of games to compare. What's the best win? Is it Auburn over ISU because because our last game made the biggest impression?
Is it Dukes game over Auburn because of Auburn's present ranking? is it Kansas over Duke (and how did they do it with the team we saw last night?) Or does our dominate win last night actually mean anything? Each could argue their side with some legitimacy. What you got?
It took a miracle comeback for auburn to beat us or us shitting the bed I should say. We are better than auburn imo. I think Duke would be our toughest matchup but if we would stop their superstar we are a better team then Duke
