I voted to suspend him for the KU game and unspecified team sanctions, but I have mixed feelings on this. I hate the personal fouls, and it is killing our team. But I also like having players that play with a little nastiness. I am so used to watching ISU being the ones pushed around that it is kind of nice to see our guys fight back and get the personal foul every now and then. I guess the only reason I voted the way I did is because the the particular play. For the most part though the personal fouls have infact been because of heat of the moment aggressivness.

Could someone describe what happened exactly? Didn't start listening until the 4th quarter.

idk.. man i think one game is enough for him. maybe im to lenient, but he's just a talent that cant be kicked from the team and i say just make him run till he passes out... who knows what would have happened on the coverage in OT if LJ was in instead of allen bell the back up

He can't start against KU. He's automatically suspended for that game for being ejected from this one.

Woahh... my bad guys! I didn't have audio for watching the game so i'm assuming he was ejected for the late hit after the UNLV td run. Wow I just figured Chizik didn't let him play the rest of the game.

Omar Clayton scored on about a 20 yard run and when he was about 5 yrds deep in the endzone he had relaxed and raised the ball up and LJ just leveled him, and he was on the ground for a while

True that...its a rough game, blast them if you get a shot, but dont get caught.

Plus now he has the scralet letter of being a dirty player...so he has to watch out

Can't believe so many people are jumping off the LJ bandwagon. He's a true freshman. He will grow up and mature. Don't give up on LJ, he's a great talent. Rahshan Parker had that stupid personal foul in 06 @ Texas and he's grown up from that day. The same maturation process will happen with Leonard. I'm very happy to have that young man in Ames. He made a mistake tonight and he will pay for it.

Chizik's doghouse is one deep hole. I highly doubt we'll see him for the rest of the season. One PF is excusable, the hit on the QB in the end zone is not. We need players that use their heads in a game, and don't get caught up in the moment. I don't want to play the "what if" game, but the OT situation makes me wonder...

Late hit 5 yards deep in the endzone after a td, and it was a hard hit. His 2nd pf of the drive the other was for fighting.

Not jumpin' off but that was inexcusable...especially since it was his 2nd one on that drive.

I didn't mean to say that he SHOULD be gone, and I'm definitely on the bandwagon.
I think he's a tremendous talent.

I really hope he can learn from this and turn into an amazing player, and I think he can.

He just needs to learn in no uncertain terms where the line is and to not cross it, and that there are consequences for doing so. I think it was clear tonight that we can still play fairly well without him, but we are a better team with him.

We NEED him on the field, and he needs to learn how to play out there and stay out there. And that means not knocking himself out of games with stupid PFs.

It seems there will be no ends to those that believe it's not a big deal, we shouldn't be so hard on guys like LJ, etc.

It's crap. I don't care if they're 18 or 23. Every coach I've been around doesn't tolerate this kind of stuff - some are more strict on it than others. But avoiding dumb personal foul penalties is a part of football at every level. So the "he's a freshman" point holds zero water - this isn't his first year of playing football folks. He knows better and in the unlikely event he doesn't - absolutely no way he belongs on the field until he does know better.

He's not the only one - but has certainly been the worst.
