I bet nobody on CF can honestly say they care or enjoy watching this sport. It is the most slow-paced event I've ever seen that is called a sport. It takes no conditioning, strength or strategy. You hit a ball in a hole, it's boring and sucks.

I don't get why you have a problem with other people enjoying something you don't understand. You have to play 18 holes in four straight days for seven months. This doesn't include practice rounds, travel, driving range time and coaching sessions. Golf is much more grueling you think, since it runs on about the same schedule as baseball. Soccer is also a sport because it takes speed, skill, and conditioning, sure, there's flopping, but there is in basketball too. And it's harder than you think to control a ball the way they do with your feet, so just appreciate it.

All in all, don't start a thread just to come on here and ***** for the sake of *****ing. No one's forcing you to watch golf, and no one's forcing anyone to watch soccer, deal with it.

Apparently you have never played a round of golf in your life.

OH, NO. You didn't just rag on my favorite pro sport. YOU...

Ah, but I digress. Golf is a gentleman's game, and so I'll try to act sportsmanlike as best as I can, until about 11 on a Saturday night, in a hotel room I'll never see again, in a city whose tournament I won't play for another 10 years, with a woman I'll probably never see again either (repeat about 150 times, or so). :jimlad:

In all seriousness, I'm a huge golf fan. My favorite sporting events of the year are Sundays of the majors. Nothing beats that for me, not the Super Bowl, and really, not even an Iowa State game, with the exception of a bowl or the NCAA tourney.
