Wife works from home on the main level of the house and I work in the basement. We live in Ames, two kids went to that "university out east" and one kid along with spouse and myself graduated ISU.
This has been a multi-year dichotomy for me, but she has been removing social media from her habits and life by a huge amount recently. She always knew I was anti social media because when we first got together when she would take a photo of me I would remind her not to post it to anything. Luckily she didn't think I was a complete wackjob.Social media/ Anti Social media
Did you meet her in the Metrodome bathroom by chance? My ex-wife was Iowa State/Iowa, and now my girlfriend is same, Iowa State/Iowa. I guess I never learn a lesson.
I grew up saying pop but I changed while working at a restaurant in Ames during college. I got too many blank stares when I would ask what pop they wanted from people from out of town/state so I just changed. I say them pretty interchangeably now, but in my mind and at home it will always be pop.My wife says 'soda' and I say 'pop.' We both grew up in Iowa.
Same. Is she from the north west corner of the state? My wife says 'soda' and I say 'pop.' We both grew up in Iowa.
USA/Canada. It’s gotten a bit testy lately

Wife and I graduated from ISU, two oldest kids go to Iowa. Youngest (the GOOD one) will start at ISU in the Fall.
That's why we had the 3rd!!Sound like you screwed up with the 2 oldest
You're not.I've been thinking about this for awhile, but wondering - what make your house a "House Divided"?
I went to Iowa State and am a huge fan, but my wife was born and raised in Wisconsin (went to Concordia in Milwaukee and St. Paul), so she's a Badger fan at heart - even if I've converted her to Cyclone fandom.
Surely we can't be the only Iowa State/Wisconsin divided house and that can't be the most unique house divided, right?
