Dropping another vote for theScore. I also like that you can 'favorite' a specific player to get updates on them separate from their team.

Example I can see in my feed how David Montgomery played without having to favorite the Bears.

Because why would anyone want to mark the Bears as their favorite team.

theScore would be perfect if it showed me what "channel" the game is on. I feel like it isn't consistent on that or doesn't show the ESPN games or something.

Twitter's helpful, just latch on to anything Iowa State when they're playing.

That said, I like the ESPN scores from Googling the ESPN site, just pin that baby right onto the splash screen and bam. Perpetual scores with no other manipulations needed. (even though it tends to lag against real time).

I want to rate this funny, winner, and informative all at once.

I know it does for NFL. Because our crappy Xfinity cable (comes with the condo) channel guide show "To Be Announced" for every channel and every time. TheScore shows the network, like NBC, CBS or Fox etc.

I've been using Yahoo Sports app for about 5 years. It has typically been pretty fast and accurate. That said the last couple of weeks it has been slow to update.

If interested in a very basic place for scores, this site is nice:

Mainly geared for mobile web browsers.

theScore crushes it. Highly recommend

Only complaint -- its takes a long time to update their top 25 each week.

I enjoy the people who have a phone and internet access that still will post in a CF thread asking the score.

theScore app is quite fast updating. Time outs and reviews make you think it's stalled but usually there's a reason.

I have noticed sometimes it'll give a score as - end of second half - for a bit before it notes it as "Final" Don't know what that's all about.
