This weekend I watched the 2008 Slam Dunk and 3-Point contest. When the slam dunk contest started they showed a video of highlights of the years best dunks. I call me crazy but I was thinking "Hey maybe they will show Rashon's dunk against Texas when Texas inbounded the ball and Texas had some miscues that led to Rashon taking the ball and absolutely slammed that ball!!!" but nope nothing of the sort! I couldn't believe it! There were some things that made me realize that Rashon got screwed out of a highlight. First, that game was on ESPN and I remember the commentators going crazy and Hilton's roof being blown off by the thousands and thousands of fans, so I'm sure that quite a few people caught that dunk, and second of all, last year there was an ISU ladies player (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) in the 3-point shootout so ISU is on the map. Am I crazy or couldn't they have shown that highlight and not screwed Rashon?

I think Rahshon is more of a power-dunker. Love the guy and all, but something tells me he would have been schooled in the dunk contest.

No women shooting in the 3-point contest because the team has no graduating seniors.

There are about 100 guys in college basketball with Rahshon's dunking ability. You have to have crazy creativity for the All Star contest. Not saying he doesn't have it, but i dont think we ever saw it in any game film.

I wouldn't have been surprised if Mike T would have made it if he was around this year.

I digress, did you watch the open practice down in KC at the big 12 tourney? He and Craig threw down some pretty sick dunks.

Lyndsey Medders

I saw this show too and wondered why Rashon's dunk(s) weren't featured. At the end of the "top dunks of the year" reel, the announcer said something like, those were the best dunks of the year in college basketball. I said to myself, those were some nice ones, but not the best.

Rahshon had surgery, he wasn't in a position to compete.

If Rahshon played for Texas and made that dunk against ISU, I'm sure it would have been included. I didn't see that montage, but how many of the dunks were by players that weren't in a post-season tournament?
