Are surprise teams like the Villanova Wildcats for real? - ESPN

Saw this posted on ESPN not long ago and didn't see anything on it yet on the forum. Would someone with insider be willing to summerize what they are saying about ISU. They had it linked on our basketball page on ESPN so I'm assuming we got a segment in the article. Thanks

2. Iowa State Cyclones

The Cyclones are one of a handful of unbeaten teams left in the country, and they already had a terrific one-two punch in steady and understated senior forward Melvin Ejim and skilled sophomore forward Georges Niang. However, Fred Hoiberg added a veteran and versatile point guard in DeAndre Kane, whose weakness of shooting the ball from the perimeter is masked by his teammates' ability to make shots from beyond the arc.

Iowa State also brought in junior college forward Dustin Hogue, who is nearly averaging a double-double (12.3 points and 9.6 rebounds a game) and does plenty of dirty work. The Mayor has his best team since returning to Ames, and this is a team that can go deep in the tourney depending on matchups.

Thanks Rabbuk! While Kane isn't as good as some of our other guys from behind the arc I think he deserves more credit than what he's been getting from the media on his 3 pointer. He's been hitting it better lately and more importantly, he's been hitting it when we needed it most. The media Makes it sound as if he's a liability from deep and to lay off him... Boise State found out how that works if you lay off him.
