Jake Sullivan showing he could still hit the 3 pointers or Coach Rhoads firing up the crowd at half time. The Chicago drummers were equally impressive. :notworthy:

When I saw the heading I thought "Cool! Lafester came back to visit."

No offense to CPR.

I thought it was cool that Sullivan had his son there in a #0 ISU jersey.

Always good fun to watch good shooters, even if he was on/over the line for a good share of the shots. Guess as long as Hy-Vee didn't care, what the heck. But it was great fun to recognize the FB team. Don't know how many recruits they had in last night, I would think they had to be at least somewhat impressed. If we give that kind of ovation for a 6-6 team, I can't wait to see what happens when we bring out our championship teams down the road!

I thought the same thing about the 3-point line. But, that wasn't the line when he played, so they all still count.

I thought that Jake was a great dramatic surprise, and the Rhoads presentation was kind of expected. So, for the fun shock of it, the Sullivan part was better.

But from a goosebumps standpoint, CPR will win against just about anybody. I love how he recapped those three promises, but then pointed to the players as the ones who delivered. That guy really does have a grip on what needs to be done here.

Anyone have any video of it for the people who didn't go?

They just said it is coming up next on KCCI news. But I see you're not online so you won't see this post in time. Maybe someone will be nice enough to record it off the news and put the video online for you. Not me though.

Is anyone else surprised Sullivan was even there? Given some of the drama I've heard with the Barnes situation and the supposed dislike of McDermott, I have to say I was surprised to see him participating.

One thing I noticed one of the times that Sullivan ran off the court after shooting was that he grazed by the ISU huddle and gave a high five to Erik Crawford. While Crawford is usually remembered for his days playing for Mac at UNI, he and Sullivan were high school teammates at Tartan High in Minnesota and even won the 2000 4A title together

Does anyone have the stat line on the number of 3-pointers Sullivan made from the top of the key in his exhibition from Friday night? It seemed to me he only missed like 3 out of 20. That was super impressive! Good to see all Cyclone fans be Jake Sullivan fans again!

Not official -- my memory -- 3 for sure missed, 10% chance it was 4 missed.
