Why Isn't Cooke Playing

You have to earn your playing time, and obviously he has not done that. He is often tweeting or instagraming pics of himself and McKay and using cryptic language. These two have both been suspended, and under performed. They may have a little pity party going on.

I posted this in the McKay thread-- But Cooke and McKay were outside the huddle with 3 min left, down 3 in OT during a timeout doing "The dab". The rest of the team was huddled up and focused.

Cooke should definitely be playing over Ashton. He provides more in the little time he is given than Ashton does with all his minutes.

Didn't see it, but I can believe it. They've gone south. At this point, there is nothing Prohm can do, the guys on the team need to have it out with them.

Seems like Deonte and Nader are the only ones to have improved during the conference season. Georges, Matt and Monte were already peaking in the non conf. McKay is still trying to figure out how to fit in although he usually does better the second half of the game.

I would disagree with this. I think Georges, Monte, and arguably Matt have stepped up in the Big 12 season.

Well McKay had fouled out and it's been made abundantly clear Cooke wont play, so who cares?

Are you serious? Naz has been out for the season for two months and he's focused in the huddle. Even if you're not playing and don't care, at least act like you want to be there and don't be a distraction in that situation.

I was sitting right behind the bench last night. McKay and Cooke were joking and goofing a bit during overtime which was annoying. But they were also cheering hard during gameplay.

I really wish we would run more set plays to get Thomas shots ( I saw one last night).. He doesn't get enough shots and seems to create his own 3s half the time which he can hit, but is not as ideal as off ball movement or screens.

Those scoundrels! They should be standing at full attention with their beds perfectly made waiting for inspection.

Might have been said already but - I just looked, we had 4 guys over 40 minutes last night to Baylors 1. I mean how bad is Hallice/Ashton that they barely saw the court. Put them in with 15 minutes left in the half, and 15 minutes left in the game, give them 5 minutes each, idc... that's 10-20 minutes of gametime minutes that someone else can rest.

Our guys get gassed, and tired legs can't make shots. I get when it's crunchtime you want Morris/Niang, etc out there, but when the game is still young, put the guys out there to buy minutes for those guys. There would be 4 other playmakers out there that can do stuff. Run all 30 seconds off the clock, idc... maybe you score, just don't let them go on a big run, and buy minutes. Then when Crunchtime hits maybe we're the team that goes on a run, because our stars have fresh legs.

Just my opinion.

You can't tell me that Lindsey kid is any better than Cooke and he played 12minutes for Baylor. I wish somebody would ask Prohm why he isn't seeing the floor.
Prohm seems scared to use his bench. Cooke played against Texas and was fine and who knows it might have made a difference in winning as Morris got a few minutes of rest

Oh the hummanity. During Baylor's last set of free throws Monte was laughing and joking around, so he must not care either right? He should have been ****** and crying.

So you want Prohm to play four on five earlier in the game? Until those two get aggressive on offense, they will not help much. I just do not see what they cannot play at a higher pace when they come in the game.

His playing time has just disappeared since the suspension. Prior he was averaging 12 min/gm in B12 play, since that only around 3. Since returning he has hit 3 of 4 field goals and has 3 assists and 1 t/o. OK numbers but just no playing time to speak of.

I'm on board with this.
CFH cured Royce White's anxiety (good coach can adapt/fix) and Prohm cannot even have players buy into his system? It all starts and ends with him.

This is getting old posting on every thread blasting Prohm. Maybe go jump in the lake if that's your life.........

I'd say the difference is that Monte hasn't been suspended and the game was over at that point, its no coincidence the 2 guys who have gotten in trouble are the ones that seem indifferent. Because of their situation these 2 should be the most dialed in guys in the huddle. No really any relevance to Morris.
