When CFH says we are faster this year.... If the team is sharing minutes across all the talent, there are enough points on the board to satisfy this team.

If this team is as fast as CFH and others have said. this is a revolution to CBB, and it started in Ames.

Some players won't be happy about their minutes. Just how it is.

If the team averages 100 points a game, I don't see anyone getting more than 16 / game...........that means we could see 6/7 players averaging double digits. playing that fast and looking to "blow teams out" quoting matt thomas from the other day - you can see a lot of line shifts every 5/6 minutes to keep fresh legs on the court. Really work on tiring out the other teams.

Fred hasn't gone deeper than 7-8 guys getting regular minutes during his time in Ames. I'll believe he's willing to go deeper when I see it.

You obviously aren't very old and don't remember Hank Gathers and Loyola Marymount averaging 122 points a game in 1990.

Don't worry as long as we are winning, it doesn't really matter

I really think he could go 12 deep this season, but I expect him to only go about 9 deep. It will be interesting to see how he handles all the depth. Playing more guys can be a negative at times since the players won't get as much experience with each other on the floor.

Also, if it were me I'd have trouble playing some of our guys like Morris, Niang, and Hogue less than 30 minutes a game.

I care less about minutes than anybody on this board.

I love all the "I don't care about minutes" comments. Who gives a damn if you care? It's the players who measure their value by minutes and the opportunities those minutes give them to contribute to the team (or bulk up their stat sheets depending on how you view their motivations).

my worry is defense. no matter how talented/fast we are, we're going to have to stop people.

Do you love my comment or not give a damn about my comment?

Hilarious, I was just thinking this. I rewatched LMU annhialate Michigan in the '90 tourney again last nite. That is the fastest I have ever seen a team play--and it was obviously without Hank at that point.

Hoiberg also started the building your program off transfers. Another revolution started in ames

My theory:

Poorer players get less minutes
Poorer players leave program
Open Scholly's for better players
Competition resumes anew

This program is survival of the ballingest; put up numbers and defend and if not then leave or take on the Ellerman role and keep your damn mouth shut. There will be no whining about minutes.
