Because not everyone can be listed as 1st string? They'll both get plenty of playing time.

If they were all healthy, I would say at this point:
Bundrage
Lazard
West
Montgomery
Harris
Daley
Wesley?
Wow, can't wait to see them all on the field next year with experience.

For this week, I would want Lazard, West, Bibbs, Montgomery. 1 back. Spread it out and throw 55+.

I love the depth we have at WR. Lazard and Montgomery have been huge, and Daley is going to break out before the end of the year. One of the last guys to get playing time, Tad Ecby, has 2 catches on the year... both TDs. Wesley is going to get better, and should be a 3 year started in the slot once Jarvis is gone.

My question is this... do we move Montgomery to TE next year? We need someone to replace Bibbs.... ya know, there is a TE thread so I will just post in that one.

Definitely won't move to tight end, IMO. They may use more four receiver sets but I don't think we will ever see Montgomery actually line up in where a tight end typically would.

I don't really think so either, UNLESS none of the TE's look good in fall camp. We will have a ton of depth at WR next year anyways, so moving Montgomery over could be worth exploring. Either way, he will be on the field a lot even with Bundrage being back.

Just thinking of our WR depth for next year gives me a little bit of a Woodrow Wilson.

By the wording of the question, I assume OP is outraged at the depth chart listing Montgomery and Lazard at the same position. It's been listed that way all year and they both have and will continue to play a ton, no worries.

It's just getting the ball to them so they have a chance to get it. - Not happening SoMuch

That 61% completion percentage on the season is higher than what we have had for a few years now. Not to mention 69.8% and 65.5% in the last two games.

So yeah, we are seeing improvement in getting the ball to the receivers as well.

I don't see DM moving to TE but does it really matter in the spread? Bibbs is almost always lined up in a spot that WR could be there too and it wouldn't make a huge difference, especially considering DM's blocking ability. So while he might not switch positions, I think we'll see DM get asked to do a lot of the exact same things Bibbs is this year. The last 2 games, Bibbs's TD's have all been on plays designed for WR, not a TE. A lot could depend on whether Bundrage or Harris come back full strength. If they do, our WR group could be the best ISU has had.

Absolutely no chance he moves to tight end. Boesen and Leslie will split time at TE (unless we pick up a stud JUCO TE, but I don't see that happening right now). From what I have heard, Mangino really likes Leslie and thinks he can be a special player for us.

I'm pleased we've been using West properly and allowing him to succeed

Herman and Messingham running sideline and endzone fades to a 5'5" receiver was just insane

Good post, and in a lot of ways a receiver like Bibbs is essentially a giant slot receiver for us. Next season if guys stay healthy there will be a variety of personnel to use at receiver. I expect we will see a decent amount of Lazard, Montgomery, and Bundrage on the field at the same time, with Bundrage either attempting to be a speedy slot guy, or Lazard/Montgomery playing a Bibbs like role in the slot.

Herman did a decent job using West but it wasn't great, Messingham's use of him was just awful. It speaks volumes about how bad Baylor's defense was in 2012 that he managed to have three touchdown receptions, all on routes that shouldn't be able to get a guy that short open.
