If you had $1000 on whether we would be making travel plans next December or staying home, what would you pick?

I'd talk to my cousin Sanjib who is in securities, then I would put the other half in Dorus Mutual Funds.

If I had to pick right now, I would not risk the money on it, but if I got to see how the recruiting class ends up, and how spring practice and sumer work outs go my mind might change.

I would say lets go bowling! On the other hand I drink the high quality kool-aid, and it's just about as pricey as that wager.

It's a definite possibility with the "part B" schedule but I had to take one year away. My main reasoning is we still can't rely on wins over any conference opponent except Baylor.

Joskvig - were you the "Oskvig" on Sound-Off last night?

No, can't say it was me. Love that show but I am 7 times zones away right now.

Hopefully somewhere warmer (although it's gorgeous today)!

I just figured maybe it was someone from here, because they told the "What do Iowa and ISU fans have in common?" joke.

I would like to say that we should win the first 4, we should be able to pick up a couple conference wins like we did this year. Lots of inexperience on offense, but our defense should about the same, if not better.

I will say yes. We need 3 more wins than this year. I'm saying we get three out of conference and with the softer south schedule we get at least three in conference. The losses at linebacker and the defensive lines will have to be addressed. But we are so far ahead of where we were a year ago with regards to having a staff and system in place. Chiz was hired right after the season, but he didn't have the strength coach or his other assistants for quite a while if I remember right. This off season should be quite a bit more productive.

What about our O-line, the only guy i can think of that is a senior is tibbs, other than that, another full year to work together and i thought that outside of the Kansas game, this group was the most improved throughout the year.

I think it's going to be something like the Independence or Houston Bowl (yippie skippie), but this is a pretty favorable to see an improvement. That being said, it wouldn't stun me if we missed out as well as it's going to be a young, inexperienced team at several key positions next year. However, I say we sneak into the bowl picture.

I voted NO. However, I think we have a good chance at 6 wins next year, unfortunately you really need to win 7 games. Winning 7 games will be a tough task.

However, I think a bowl bid in 2008 is a reasonable goal for Gene Chizik. And a bowl bid in 2009 is a reasonable expectation.

Notice I use the term reasonable...
