I voted Matt Campbell for 10 more years, because while the national championship is on a whole different level than an Elite Eight, I think I'm scarred by the experience of having a massive level of success for a couple years under Eustachy, and then suffering through mediocrity for over a decade after he was gone.

Matt is amazing, and this is not doubting him at all. Some things may be taken out of his hands with the future of the sport that will make things even harder.

Also, is Heacock here for those ten years? Is Pollard?

Just too many unknowns, so give me that championship which stays forever regardless of the future.

Yea we suck… and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have many friends in highly successful fanbases and our ragtag team of fans is way more enjoyable, the highs are way higher, the people are more fun, the tailgating is better, the people are nicer, and most of the time the country roots for us.

I have an Alabama friend that popped blood vessels in his face from yelling at the screen when they were winning the damn game. Nah I’m good fam.

Good question. Those people will have to clarify what their definition is. I would say sucking every year means 6-6 or worse for the rest of time. Pretty much our entire history.

Somebody replacing CMC doesn't mean ISU would automatically suck.

Several aspects of the program are on much more solid ground than ever before so there's a decent chance at continuing to be decent.

Anybody older than 25 knows how bad constant losing seasons are. I'd give maybe 5 years of sucking for a Natty, but anything beyond that in this environment is crippling.
