My guess is Michael Cole is there in the intermediary until things settle down, then eventually Tom Phillips takes over SmackDown.

Vic Joseph is really good.

He subbed in that one Raw for Graves and seemed good. Who is this Dio guy?

Former NFL player Brennan Williams. Never lasted there because of injury. Signed a Performance Center contract in 2016. But there's a reason why you've never heard of him - I don't think he ever wrestled for NXT. I'm guessing for the same reasons why he didn't make it in the NFL is the reason why he was moved to the announce booth, his debut being less than 3 weeks ago with 205 Live. Now, I haven't heard him, but from what I've heard from people who did watch those episodes of 205 Live, he made a strong impression, and he must have, because in less than one month he's been promoted to Raw.

I had to look all this stuff up - Literally flipping back and forth from his wiki page as I type this. Like I said, I barely even know who the guy is.

As someone who never watches 205 live in makes sense then why I haven't heard of him. Seems strange to give a guy like that one of the announcing chairs on Monday Night Raw.

Enjoyed that segment more than I should have. Seeing Brock throw guys around like they’re pillows never gets boring for me.

Who's the little nerd? Not liking Lawler so far; prefer the former crew.

And I don't get the whole Lesner thing. They just wasted 12 minutes having him beat up Ray and Ray's son. Lesner is garbage and isn't fun to watch, especially in those types of scenarios. It's the same thing every time he comes out and interrupts.

Agree, so far I am less than excited about this announce team.

Agree, it seems like Lawler is dominating the conversation and I take Vic Joseph to be the "Michael Cole" of this team should be leading the conversation. It seems like the third guy is hardly saying anything. Not exact sure how I feel about the new entrance way.

Agree on everything. They have so many good announcers and this is who they went with?

I am getting the feeling like they are trying really hard to appeal to a broader, less wrestling focused crowd.

Side note: I read today that Jack Swagger might make an appearance on the AEW debut. Dude is 2-0 in his MMA career.

That was one way to end Raw. Bobby Lashley making out with Lana right in front of Rusev while The Fiend takes out Seth Rollins - all with Randy Orton and Baron Corbin looking on on the LED halfpipe.

As far as Raw announcers, Vic Joseph was good as usual, especially as the show went on. Then again, I'm used to watching him because I watch a lot of NXT UK.

I'm just done with Jerry Lawler. Special appearances are fine, but he doesn't belong at an announce desk at this stage of his life.

Dio Maddin was basically a toned down version of Byron Saxton, so basically a bland face homer. I'm okay with him, but nothing really stands out with him.

And for the record, 3 face announcers doesn't work, which is what they have right now. They all talk all over each other saying essentially the exact same things.

Color me not impressed with the LED halfpipe stage. At least the pyro's back. It makes a huge difference. Was surprised at how well Becky's old "steam cannon" works with her The Man gimmick.

3 man announcing booths don’t work no matter how it’s set up. Kick Lawler off at least. Dio/Brennan Williams can be good in time, but somebody like Nigel McGuinness should be in his spot. Dio should be in NXT with Mauro.

I wish there was more chatter here on cf, I'm only like 45 min in and have a lot of thoughts.

I appreciate all the background info from you guys!
