There is some over the top gore but it is hard to describe. It wasn't what I expected at all.

Also it is Part 2 of a trilogy. The prequel is called Pearl and I guess that is pretty much ready to go. Don't know anything about the sequel.

I should also add there is a post credits scene. I didn't know about it beforehand and didn't stick around long enough to see it.

Saw it this weekend, great movie. Creepy, uncomfortable, and the motivation of the bad guys is unique to me at least
