I love it.

-8GB Ram
-500GB HD

-Fantasy football integration with a partnership with the NFL.
-New Halo tv series directed by Spielberg.

..the list goes on and on.

Your thoughts?

Hardware features looks very much alike Xbox 360. Hopefully the software options are better. PS4 has all of the leverage right now to beat the crap out of Wii U and Xbox One.

I'm pretty much committed to xbox regardless. I cannot stand PS controllers.

I am very glad that they changed very little on the controller. The cable/television integration left me with a few questions. Does cable feed directly into the Xbox? Does the feed come from a cable set top box (redundant)? Does it require partnerships with the cable provider (I assume it does)?

I assume thats what the HDMI in is for, but youd have to have some compatibility to control whatever device is selected. Its been done before (some tivos used to have an IR blaster for it) but i dont know what theyre planning.

I wish MLB the show was on Xbox.

That franchise is the reason I sold my Xbox 360 and bought a PS3

Very happy with that choice - The Show, free online play, and Blu-Ray more than make up for the inferior controller

From the I/R out port on it im guessing itll have an IR blaster to control the device. Hopefully MS is broad in their compatibility.

I have a 360, my roommate has a PS3. Even though I was a PS/PS2 guy growing up, I can't stand their controllers anymore. Hate the position of the joysticks, & they don't seem near as firm.

After living with a PS3 for over 2 years now, we've maybe watched 2 or 3 blu-ray's. I honestly don't think they're worth the extra $$$, & even if my next console has the capability I don't see myself using it much..

I think the extra features/better layout of XBox Live warrant the $35-$40 I spend on it each year. Not to mention how often PS Network seems to be "down". The clincher for me is probably the overwhelming number of my friends who play in XBox rather than PS.

Is that a joke? They were terrible about this with the accessories on the 360. I highly doubt this will be any different.

Its not hard to have a wide range of IR compatibility though, its basically a universal remote.

Is that really an issue or just something xbox'ers say to make themselves feel better about paying for something that's free on ps3? I can't recall one time since we've had our ps3 that it's been down. I've heard my son complain about lag a few times but that very well could have been our (Mediacrap) connection.

How far would you trust Microsoft to get that right, though?

I have a feeling they'll get the compatibility down well enough, thats not hard.

However, i in no way believe the delay will be as instant as they demo'd. An IR blaster is going to introduce delay, plus cable boxes arent that fast to begin with.

Too bad the xbox didnt have dvr functionality and a cablecard.
