Niang is a beast. Once he warmed up, we didn't have an answer for him. If not for his foul trouble, it might have been different down the stretch.

I was impressed with the fight in your team; I was a nervous wreck the way they came out in the second half.

I hope to see you guys in the future; maybe we can give you back that game in Ames that we owe you.

I love it, Virginia hasnt been to the elite 8 since 1995. So of course we get the 2016 version who looked like they could give the Bulls a good game tonight. We cant run into the #1 or #2 seed Virginia teams who choke in the 2nd round on a yearly basis.

But yeah, whatever, enjoy beating a double digit seed en route to the final four. Youll be happy to know you are now the odds on favorite to win the national championship. We always lose to the eventual champs.

Really? I thought their defense was impressive to watch and their ball movement on offense was pretty amazing at times.

it would be nice if they could do some of that before 8 seconds left on the shot clock. EVERY SINGLE POSSESSION. Variety is the spice of life my fellow Gooner.

Congrats on the win. You have a great coach and a BIG team.

I wish Niang wasn't taken out of the game by the officiating or we might have seen 50 out of him and might have made it interesting down the stretch. That would have been fun to watch. But watching the refs was fun too:(

Gill had that goofy curly long hair, Perrantes had that god awful stupid looking flat top thing.

I should have said just like longer hair and not the close-cropped cuts most had. Used the Google and yep, they were the two.

Congrats to a fine UVA team. We lost this game primarily in 5 minute bursts or lack thereof. 1). first five minutes of game. 2. Niang's five minutes on the bench because of fouls 3. failure to capitalize on UVA's 5 minute drought when we had them within 7.

My only complaint is immediate post game interview when UVA's coach stated "We did a really good job stopping Niang". Hmmmmm really? 30 points? 8 assists? 4 rebounds?

Actually, the refs did a great job of stopping Georges.

I NEVER felt comfortable in this game, and Niang is everything he was advertised to be.

Best of luck in the future, and thanks for being such a cool fanbase to talk with.

Your team is really tough as well. And so smart. Much respect to your team.

Virginia intentionally did a great job of stopping everybody but Niang - and the refs bailed them out with 4 questionable fouls. What I mean is, if Niang isn't spending large stretches of the game sitting on the bench, he perhaps wins this game himself.

This. If Niang would not have been plagued with BS fouls, he could have EASILY gone for 40. Nobody could stop him.

That would be cool. Not sure if we'll be quite ready for it next year, but soon.
