Well, of course it was! Since, you know, Northwestern even beat Baylor on the road!

You can at least admit all of the facts split. Nw was actually healthy for that particular game.

I know that you are scared ******** that your hero got out coached by scott ******* drew, and all of the gloating you had planned is not a sure thing anymore, but you are better than making **** up.

Leave that to the rest of the insecure idiots in your fan base.

Heslip was coming off an injury and Northwestern got us napping before the Wildcats lost their best players. We'd crush them now.

It was Baylor's game 7.

Bull. 20+ beat downs aren't game 7's buddy. We scored at will and defended you well. The result in the second half is all the evidence needed.

Iowa had no one who could defend Jackson and your bigs dominated Iowa's bigs. There was nothing out of the ordinary about baylors performance there simply just better. To the Iowa fan that said it was baylors game 7 and to any Iowa state fans who want to laugh one more time. Check this out. New York City, Here We Come! - YouTube

its safe to say Iowa was pretty jacked about their NIT run. If anything it was probably their super lol

You could make a darn good case that ISU's sweep of Baylor kept them out of the tourney. Had BU gotten those games against the Cyclones coupled with baseball batting the jayhawks, they'd probably have gotten into the tourney.

We were only 1-2 games out so if any two of the following turn our way:

Northwestern- We play terrible against a bad team and almost pull it out.
OU in Waco- Free throws bite us
One of the ISU games- Pierre Jackson misses 5 or 6 free throws in a game decided by very few. Very uncharacteristic by him
OSU at Stillwater- Beaten by a buzzer beater
OSU in the B12 Tourney- Our buzzer beater doesn't fall after OSU gets a gift call for their last 2 points
KSU- We screw up a 1 second play because a freshman doesn't get a hand on the ball and they hit an inbound shot to beat us.
at UT's senior night- We make lots of simple mistakes down the stretch to an inferior team

Any 2 of those reverse and we are sure to be in. Depending on which game it is it could have happened with 1 game.

KenPom had a stat that compared a team's O & D efficiency vs their foes to predict games and compared it to actual W/L record. BU was 3rd from worst at the end of the league tourneys.

Frustrating year...

That wasn't being outcoached. That was being out-talented. But alas, doesn't matter anymore.

Yada yada yada. Losing to Northwestern with or without their best players is still ****** for a team like Baylor. Sorry. Your team showed they were better than Iowa last night. It's unfortunate that your guys couldn't get up to play against teams like C of Charleston and Northwestern. If they had, you'd be looking at a tourney team rather than an NIT championship.

Baylor has the athletes to compete with a lot of teams in the country. They have the motivation and coach to lose to any team in the country as well.

BTW, you better be careful. You don't want your post count on a Cyclone board to outnumber your combined basketball and football attendance. You're getting dangerously close.

You don't think Fran was outcoached? Baylor made what, 4 threes? Let's not pack the middle after the first 6 dunks lets stick to them on the perimeter and watch them go for 11. Cmon Split you're better than that. Fred has been outcoached before, it happens to the best of them. In this case though it was the firist time I have ever seen Scott Drew do it to someone else...

Kinda like iowa catching ISU napping early in the season too. ISU would CRUSH iowa now - would take 8 of 10 easily. (*The head scratcher games for ISU this year was clearly @iowa @ TT and @ Texas)

NCAA> nit

Says the fan of the team that lost to VaTech who's RPI is worse than either of the teams BU lost to.

We were 26th in KenPom's ratings with a 16 rating on offense and 60 on D. We did about where we'd be expected to be efficiency wise after losing 3 NBA players from last year. Unfortunately we caught bad breaks and had a losing record in close games after winning almost all of them last year. Sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way.

If Drew is such a bad coach we would not have been to 2 elite eight's in 3 years and we wouldn't have wailed on your butt.

Last I checked attendance doesn't cover any of the 20 points your team got smoked by last night. Scoreboard.

I don't see how an Iowa fan could be arguing with a Baylor fan. Did you watch the game last night? Baylor crushed you guys and Jefferson sat for 10 minutes in the first half and Jackson wasn't even trying to score. The 3 best players on the court belonged to Baylor. Hands down. Baylor also beat Kansas during the season. Iowa failed in every opportunity to knock off a ranked team. Good job Baylor. Thanks for making this Cyclone fan happy last night.

The gap in talent was big IMO, Baylor is way more athletic. Fran got outcoached period I just did not see many adjustments in the paint all I saw was dunk after dunk after dunk.

Iowa is 24 in Kenpom, so what's your point? That Iowa didn't perform as expected? Iowa's D is 24 and O is 44, so using your standards, the game should have been much closer last night than it was.

And I can use the exact same close game logic. Iowa lost 7 games by 5 points or less this year. Much like Baylor, the bounces didn't go Iowa's way. The difference is, Baylor started what, 3 future NBA players last night? The fact that BU was in the NIT at all is why Drew is considered a great recruiter but a sub-par coach.

I have no problem admitting Baylor was the better team last night. They were. But with the talent and experience gap on the court last night, don't you find it a little embarassing that BU was left playing the NIT vs. the NCAA? Why couldn't Baylor produce at that level all season long?

Never in a million years would I ever thought a Baylor fan and an Iowa fan arguing on Cyclone Fanatic, this is just fabulous.

Sorry but baylor isn't playing much better now than they were the entire big 12 season. Unlike Iowa most big 12 teams have quickness and athleticism on the perimeter to keep jackson from getting into the lane every position. Also most teams also have someone that can play you physical on the inside which is another thing Iowa doesn't have. If you dont have either of those baylor is a solutely going to kill you. Last night was a perfect example of this. It was dunk city all game lol

Don't you find yourself wondering if there really is going to be enough talent on Iowa to make the dance next year? Until Iowa gets more physical inside and gets more athleticism they are always going to be limited on what they can.

Ding Ding Ding we have a winner. Iowa finished 6th this year while having the easiest SOS in the conference, lose one guy and only bring in two new guys that are from Iowa (one without a BCS offer besides Iowa) and a redshirt who also didn't have a BCS offer besides Iowa coming out of HS. Not seeing any playmakers walking through the doors of legendary Carver Hawkeye Arena in the near future
