Not super ISU-related, but if you have Flo, there is an interesting tourney going on this weekend in State College.
Club teams are competing a a dual format. Weights run from 34kg to 129kg and ages are from middle-school (or maybe less) to graduated seniors.
Team Sebolt looked really strong winning their pool. I think they are done for the day and will compete in a bracketed format tomorrow. I think they will have a good shot at placing. 2nd place in their pool was coached by David Taylor. I'm sure he's being paid well, but it was kind of cool seeing perhaps the best wrestler in the world right now coaching kids, wiping mats, etc....just giving back to the sport.
Paniro Johnson went 3-1 on the day. The match he lost, I felt he should have been much farther ahead and controlled the entire match until he got neck-wrenched to his back with :02 to go in the match and lost 5-4. Learning experience I guess. I don't think there are any other ISU commits there, but I may have missed someone.
