do's and don'ts of the best man's wedding speech

Presenting a slideshow of the bride in bed with the future father-in-law and a Dalmatian shepherd is always a sure laugh-getter.

    Greatest "B" side recordings ever

I'm surprised no one has brought up the Beatles yet. I'm not a huge Beatles fan either, but they had some pretty big hits from the B side, including, but not limited to, Yellow Submarine and Penny Lane. Again, not a big Beatles fan, so I might be wrong about this.

    Greatest "B" side recordings ever

I'm not a huge fan of Police. Their music just doesn't do it for me.

    Greatest "B" side recordings ever

My problem with Springsteen is I can never understand what he's singing. Enunciate, dude.

    Greatest "B" side recordings ever

For you youngsters who have no idea what a B side is, it refers to the song on the flip side of a 45 record. The A side is the song being released in the hopes it's a hit. The B side is usually mostly filler, just so it's not a blank space. Here's my nominee. It became this group's only No. 1 hit.

    Great Movie Casting "Misses"

They went through a few guys before they finally cast Matt LeBlanc as Joey in Friends, too. Hank Azaria, Vince Vaughn and Louis Mandylor. There were even more people who auditioned for the role of Rachel, but I don't feel like listing them all.

    Great Movie Casting "Misses"

I could actually see Tom Selleck as Indiana Jones. He made a pretty similar movie (action/adventure) when he did High Road to China. It's still one of my favorite movies of his. That and Quigley Down Under. He also did 9 Jesse Stone movies that I enjoyed, though I think I've only seen four or...

    Great Movie Casting "Misses"

The pretty well known one is Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly. Of course, he was actually cast in that role so may not be what you're looking for. Al Pacino as Han Solo, John Travolta as Forrest Gump.

    MLB: ***2024 Minnesota Twins***

I'm always nervous when the Twins have an off day when they're on a roll. It seems more often than not, they come out of the off day lethargic and uninterested and wind up going on a bit of a losing streak.

Ever score on an insurance company?

I had an older car that got caught in a hail storm. I still had full coverage on it, but it was probably only worth like 8 grand at the time. The insurance company cut me a check for $4,400, and fixed my busted windows for free (I guess it was part of my insurance plan). I had a $500 deductible...

    2024-25 Roster/Rotation Additions

Improving post positioning? What does that even mean? She was damned fine at positioning in the post as a true freshman. It would be nice to discuss things with you if you knew what you were talking about, but it's pretty obvious you don't. The numbers and results tell me that.

    2024-25 Roster/Rotation Additions

I would be very surprised if someone of that caliber joined the Cyclones. She's looking for a winning program where she can start. ISU only fits one of those criteria, unless they can convince her that she would have an opportunity to start at PF.

    2024-25 Roster/Rotation Additions

LOL. You're the one who doesn't see it and the evidence is right in front of your eyes.

    2024-25 Roster/Rotation Additions

How are turnovers trying to get the ball to Crooks her fault? It's the fault of the passer 99 percent of the time. Ryan had waaaaaay too many turnovers for a senior point guard. On some of them, she just tossed the ball to an opponent unforced and unpressured. Some games, fully half our...

    2024-25 Roster/Rotation Additions

IMO, 20 minutes per game is unrealistic. That is if you don't want a mass exodus to the transfer portal after the season.
