    ***Official 2024 Transfer Thread***

Iowa State has a big advantage over a lot of teams in the midst of all this portal madness. Their top 4 players all returned and have established chemistry, guys that are committed to the school and want to win in Ames. On top of that, I like the frontcourt more than last season. It might take...

    2024 Mens CBB Coaching Carousel

I don't think Cronin was a good fit at least stylistically, he has that intense defensive mindset and Kentucky for the most part has been a program with a high flying offense. It's a glamour program, Cronin isn't a glamour guy. Cincinnati was actually the perfect fit for him.

    2024 Mens CBB Coaching Carousel

For sure, Pope did a good job at a tough place to win. I just find it funny that Kentucky fans expected Hurley, dumped all over Drew and ended up with Pope. Honestly, getting the less glamorous name might be a blessing in disguise for that program but, as of now, I'm laughing at the Kentucky...

    2024 Mens CBB Coaching Carousel

Imagine Kentucky hiring a coach that has never won an NCAA tournament game when this process started? Wild Maybe Pope will be a good coach for all we know but this makes me smile after reading all the smugness from the Kentucky fans on their message board thinking there was no way Hurley was...

    O.J. Simpson dead at 76

They even did the same with Grant Hill to use a CBB example. He was getting the "Uncle Tom" treatment because his dad was rich and he didn't act black enough like The Fab 5 did for instance, plus he went to a "white" school in Duke. It's stupid that black people have to act a certain way to...

    O.J. Simpson dead at 76

There was the whole ridiculous idea that a black couple that had a lot of money and were a lawyer and doctor were acting white, that it was an "Uncle Tom" type of family. A shame that people thought/still think that way but they did.

    UCONN vs Purdue Championship Thread

That Houston win was the most satisfying Iowa State win in a very long time, maybe ever.

    UCONN vs Purdue Championship Thread

No doubt. Every impartial fan wants close games but there's something kind of cool about seeing this level of dominance and a legit dynasty in this age of NIL and Transfer Portal. I've been watching college basketball for about 35 years now and this is quite possibly the most complete team I've...

    UCONN vs Purdue Championship Thread

UConn has made the tournament kind of boring the last 2 years because of how good they are which begs the question, are they in the conversation for best team ever? We have any pick of those UCLA teams, the undefeated Indiana team, 1990 UNLV, 1996 Kentucky, 1999 UConn, 1992 or 2001 Duke, 2006...

    John Calipari to Arkansas

I see that a bunch of Kentucky fans don't want Nate Oats. Uh, if not him then who? Some of them actually mentioned Hurley as if there's a chance in hell that happens. I know that there are high standards in The Commonwealth but I can't imagine doing much better than Oats. This guy built a...

    John Calipari to Arkansas

I don't think T.J. has nearly enough cache yet to land a job like that. I could see another Big 12 coach landing that job though, Scott Drew.

    John Calipari to Arkansas

I can't imagine that Hurley leaves UConn anytime soon. It's arguably the best job in the country although I'm saying this not knowing how high up on the NIL Totem Pole they are so maybe I'm off.

    John Calipari to Arkansas

Just saw this, what a bombshell. Arkansas is a pretty attractive program and they have a rabid fanbase but I never in a million years envisioned Calipari going there. Shocker

    2024 NCAA Tournament Thread

I have no dog in this fight but that was a shameful call by the refs on that "moving screen". Took the game right away from the players. Not that UConn would have won necessarily but they should have had the opportunity and the refs stripped it from them. Too bad because it was a great game...
