Not necessarily disagreeing but there were 3-4 NFL players on that offense and often the calls were "throw it up to Hakeem". I'm not personally taking much from that year and in general would prefer Campbell hire someone to call the plays.

There are 4-5 NFL guys on this offense (Higgins, Noel, Brahmer, Sama, maybe Becht).

Look at Zach Lujan the OC at SDSU. Last year they avg 37 pts/game and 450 yds/game. He is also the SDSU QB coach.

Same. Sama has a lot to prove before he is considered an NFL guy. I’m sure a lot of people thought Mike Warren was an NFL guy after his first year here.

I mean. Clanton has never been a playcaller nor worked or played with any position group other than the offensive line. That's a MUCH bigger risk than Scheelhaase was last year.
