To truly appreciate it, you have to understand how absolutely terrible they looked up until that point. Then once the switch was flipped: Game over.
We played the worst half of basketball all year, followed by the best half of the year in the same game. It’s crazy to score only 18 points in the first half and follow it up with 59 in the second half.
I think that I screamed for the entirety of the second half.

I remember thinking to myself that whole second half that if Scott drew was coaching that game he would have ran out of timeouts with 14 mins left.
Absolute shame that core group only made it to the sweet 16. They were so loaded. Niang broken foot and the UAB game just a travesty.
That was one of the best game atmospheres I’ve ever been to. The crowd was going absolutely nuts during the come back.
I almost forgot how good Brent Musburger was at his job.
We were walking out of one of our birthing classes. I had DVR'd the game but saw the score in the hospital lobby. By the time got home, I was able to watch the end of the win!

Dustin Hogue will always be one of my favorite Cyclones. Always.
The Naz OT Okie State game is ten years old this week.
You could argue that team wasn't the all-time best Cyclone team ever (although close), but man, they were far and away the most fun. Every one of those guys was just so damn likable. Humble yet confident.
Goosebumps watching that. Forgot how quick we came back. We erased a 20 point lead in less than 5 minutes.
