What is her connection to ISU? Her Wikipedia page doesn’t say she went here. All I see is Iowa Wesleyan and Rice. Is she a fan?

She has done visiting lectures, graduation commencement speeches, etc.
Alum friend of mine from Aero dept said she's been a pretty big role model/influence on a lot of students.
