    Tesla Cybertruck

Maybe 2 years I'd guess, given Model 3, which is now making close to 7k a week (but took a while to get there).

    Tesla Cybertruck

Pretty sure Cybertruck is just shorthand for Cy's Beer Truck. Or at least would be cool to dress it up as such. :) I put down a reservation immediately. While it's far from the typical style of today, the design just makes too much sense with the super hard exoskeleton (that would break...

    Electric Cars

Well, they do have service rangers that will come to your house to service it even now (just $100 for the service call, or can pre-pay for unlimited trips over 4 years). And the supercharger network plans for Des Moines, KC, Davenport, Chicago, & Omaha w/in 2 years will make it easier for you...

    Electric Cars

The key to solar in Iowa seems to be to use net metering with the electric company, so that you can produce enough electricity in the summer to help cover your electric use in the winter. The sun is up much longer in the summer in northern latitudes.

    Electric Cars

We bought a Chevy Volt back in April and have a reservation for a Tesla Model S. Thought the Volt was really awesome until we test drove a Tesla Model S in Chicago in late July. The Model S is just rediculously awesome--an exceptionally smooth, fast & quiet roller coaster ride with a lower...

    Netflix Changes

Like many, I don't care for the price hike or the splitting up of a combined site, so my membership is on hold. Have Dish Network with free Starz for a year. Given that Dish bought BlockBuster out of bankruptcy and is going to make an announcement about a new streaming service later this week...

    Should I get a DVR?

If you have (or obtain) a VIP 211 high def receiver, you can buy an external hard drive to turn that receiver into a DVR without paying a monthly DVR fee. It's only single tuner, but it's nice to avoid the monthly DVR fee. I believe there is a 1-time enabling fee of $40 to add the capability to...

    Christopherson or Phillips?

Scottie was far more impressive during CCL play, showing the drive game, as well as, the 3. Phillips couldn't shoot straight in the 2 games I saw, plus his handle looked sloppy, lots of his points were on put backs whille I was watching. Didn't seem to have as good of a handle as Scottie.

    Really, really excited

I like Bubu a lot (never get tired of hearing "Bubu for 2" at CCL). He probably deserves a scholarship and I think he could maybe beat out Phillips for backup minutes at PG. Still, don't see how he'd be beat out Christopherson for starting PG that year.

    3D Movies

Get used to it, the "fad" won't go away. It'll linger, improve, grow, then eventually becoming the new standard in a much improved and less expensive form w/o the glasses--possibly holographic 3-D TV.

What do you think of the Hoiberg hire (If true)

True, Vinnie's a gonner. It's still an example of bringing in a coach from a similar background to what Hoiberg had, surrounding him with some veteran assistants, and even having some limited success. That doesn't mean the outcome will be the same with Fred. I like Fred from a personality...

What do you think of the Hoiberg hire (If true)

Great hire. Similar to what the Chicago Bulls did in getting Vinnie Del Negro who had zero coaching experience, but had front office experience and lots of playing experience. At the end of the day, Fred seems to have the high character and skills needed to do the job well. His basketball...

    Using Clotheslines

I don't use a clothesline, but given the world today, I don't think we should be impeding anyone's ability to conserve energy. I agree w/ those who oppose aggressive homeowners associations, as individual freedoms to do what you want on your own property within the bounds of the law represent...

    Hamilton Gained 40 Pounds

I see him as the CJ replacement. Scores well around the hoop like CJ tried to do. He's leaner & meaner than CJ. Hopefully, he can be effective in the Big 12 against bigger guys, but it's too soon to know for sure IMO.

    Russell Westbrook was

In this hypothetical scenario, had we gotten Russell Westbrook, it seems that we wouldn't have gotten Weasley, as I believe he was our last signee that year. Either way, it seems they perhaps would have been gone after 2 years. And Westbrook may not have fit in as well as a freshman with...

    Capital City League 6/25

I was very impressed w/ Boozer the 2nd night of CCL, the last night I saw. I think he could easily make it into the rotation this year if he keeps it up and plays smart. That game caught me by surprise, and changed my opinion of him as a player.
