Not 100% sure, but I believe they do most of central Iowa. There is a testimony on the site from someone in Altoona, so they probably at least do the whole Des Moines area and Ankeny for sure. You'll have to contact them about Ames. -

Any keg I have gotten from a brewery is always Sankey. I don't know of any that sell kegs with ball lock or pin connectors. I have my setup so I can switch back and forth from ball lock to Sankey as needed. -

Good question, don't know if I have monitored it that closely to tell if I go through more CO2 with 3-5 gallon kegs, vs. 1-15.5 gallon keg. Given that it ends up being about the same amount of beer, with the 3 kegs vs. the big one, I would say it is about the same. -

I picked up 2 kegs (5 gal) from Confluence on Saturday for $176. Average of $88 a keg. That said, I had 2 kegs to turn in, so I didn't have to pay deposit on the new kegs. Deposit is $50 a keg, so if I had to pay deposit, it would have been $276, but I get my $100 back when I turn the kegs back... -
