    going to be a bit warm today

    just a bit warm. Already in mid 90s at noon, probably looking at 103 for high in Des Moines. Per the news guy last night, this is the first 100 since 2006 and first one in June since 1988.

    Its upcoming as of Saturday the 16th but looks nasty. According to Accuweather 14 of the next 15 days look 93 or above with almost rain, hope they are wrong. This might be the hottest streak since 1988.

    weird noise on top of scoreboard

    My seats are at the top of the south end zone. Did anyone hear the clicking "electronic drum machine" sound last night? I found it very annoying, it sounded like something electric was shorting out.

    weirdest movie ever? Watched "Eraserhead"..

    last night. I have seen some strange movies many of which have cult status but this one easily beats them all. I believe it is David Lynch's (twin peaks) first film and dates from about 1977. I don't really recommend; it is weird as hell.

    1000 Dual Wins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Congrats to the wrestlers on their 30-10 win! Thanks to all that have been a part of this program for the last 90 some years. ISU is the first program to breach the 1000 dual win threshold.

    interesting tidbit, just under half.........

    of the home games at JTS since the beginning of the 2005 season have been at night. I think 13 of 27 have, don't quote me. I love these night games except when the weather sucks (Mizzou last year-cold). They give you a chance to get most of your day in then tailgate in the afternoon.

    Kevin Jackson was at the game

    He was on the east side under the bleachers walking around with the family. If I didn't have to leave so quickly I would have said hi to him and welcomed him back.
