A data point not hit upon: re Monte's exclusion from Cousy award and record. We didn't have a post presence for a majority of the year, resulting in a lot of those losses. Monte's game was still above average, in fact was probably under more pressure during that time.

I don't think the record should matter as much. I understand the reasoning you gave, as far as team record, but there is a change that occurred that made ISU a better team.
