I'd argue this graphic that was on reddit the other day really shows who the blue bloods are.

There's a pretty clear upper tier.
Seems like that should be updated to the last 30 or 40 years. Not sure how relevant the 60's, 70's or even early 80's is to program quality today

After watching the Kelvin Sampson post game, he along with Coach K must have a a pretty good contract with “Just For Men” hair color.

IMO things like this should all be 1986 and on, that's the start of the modern tournament with 64 teams. Making the Elite 8 in 1977 is nice and all, but you only had to win 1 game to get there. It's completely different.

I thought Tech got called for a bogus foul at the end when they were down two and knocked the ball out of a Duke guys hands. Looked clean to me. It is crazy thought that Duke just couldn't miss the last however many minutes of that game.

I am so sick of them cutting into coverage to show K walking into the arena holding his wife's hand.

They are incredibly undersized compared to Purdue and somehow the Boilers never capitalized on it. They do have a good rim protector though.

Yeah, i do think you could argue for a tier below those 5, based on more recent records that would be 'elite, but not blue blood'.

Also, to me, it seems like on some level the "blue blood' thing should be about the school over the long term. Almost all of MSU's success, for example, is under one coach, aside from a couple big runs in the late 70s. To pass the 'blue blood test' they'd need to sustain that after Izzo retires
I would agree with this and also say that Izzo only having one championship doesn’t bump sparty into blue blood territory.

Looking forward to you guys beating miami, just an incredible season from ISU

I don't understand down 6 with 10 seconds and no timeouts remaining why you're taking two point shots but whatever.

Arkansas' Williams with a double double all four tournament games.
Too bad he didn't accept our offer out of Ft Smith Northside.

Almost need two categories of blue bloods. Also I like to factor in recruiting when I think about blue bloods. Like where do the 5 stars go in the modern era?
