Would have to rely on someone much more astute to wrestling than me but IMO I see a lot of potential options in play at the lighter weights…

- Lynchpin that sets it in play does Redding go back to 141, Swiderski/Paniro bump up? A lot of athletes to make 125/133 pretty salty w Terukina, Cabanban, Perryman, Attasaouv…if so what does Kraisser do?!

-What about 174/184? Where do the young guns of Gaitan and Rojas find their home with Broderson? With my limited knowledge would we pursue a transfer at this weight range to soften the transition to younger guys/build depth?

I think the ideal situation is Redding 141 and Swiderski red shirt.

My guesses. I have who I think will be starter listed first. Biggest questions are what will Casey/Paniro do and what will Yonger do.

125 - Terukina/Perryman
33 - Ramazan/Frost
41 - Redding/Frost
49 - Paniro/Casey redshirt
57 - Kraisser/Euton (hope for transfer)
65 - Carr/Rojas
74 - Gaitan
84 - Broderson/Naak (hope for transfer)
97 - Yonger
Hvy - Schon (or possible transfer)

Add Cabanban at 125, possibly AE at 141, Robinson at 157 and Helgeson may be the front runner at 184.

I guess after Casey’s dad came on the board last week and basically stated that Casey will be moving to 157 next year the speculation was put to rest. But you guys can keep pencilling him into other slots all off season and see how that goes.

Who has done that? If he’s 157 I’d be shocked if it’s next year. I’ve been leading the 157 train, but that means a redshirt.

There are two predictions in the thread, one being yours, that have him at 149 next year. You did have the caveat that he would redshirt.

I’m just saying, his own father stated that he would be at 157 next year. Sure didn’t seem like he was going to redshirt.

Actually, he dad did say RS was a possibility.

Ok. I must have misread that. Apologies. For the record, I would agree that to bump up 2 weights a redshirt would seem prudent. I’ll go back and read it again.

Regarding Redding- I know it was a tough cut but he seemed to have figured it out. Anyone think he can stay at 133? After getting a taste of some post season success?

Not sure it would be possible or if he would want it but he could be dangerous at 133 next year.

This may be stupid to think, but what I would give to get Quincy Monday into the RTC/ grad assistant or something. I know him and David will both be trying for the same goals of 2024/2028 74kg, but what a great asset he would be. Both as a training partner for David and just a wealth of knowledge and outstanding person. We already have Metcalf and St. John at the same weight though so it doesn’t make sense.

125 - Terukina/Perryman - Rd 12
33 - Ramazan/Frost - Rd 16
41 - Redding/Frost - Rd 12, low AA
49 - Paniro/Casey redshirt - mid AA
57 - Kraisser/Euton (hope for transfer) - Rd 16
65 - Carr/Rojas - NC
74 - Gaitan - 1-2
84 - Broderson/Naak (hope for transfer) 1-2
97 - Yonger - mid AA
Hvy - Schon (or possible transfer) - NQ

I stole this lineup, which seems to be a pretty good lay out, and took it one step farther on the potential finish, IMHO. This would give us 3 AAs and a NC, and have us finish around 6th. Not great gains, but not a step backward, which is concerning losing the likes of Sam and Marcus.
