Texas takes Set 2, 25-13 (2-0). Like Thursday night, serve receive is the theme of this one.

First set was good then Texas went on that big run in the 2nd set and never slowed down

Felt like the Denver/Seattle Super Bowl where one team did what they needed to do and the other seemed to not mentally show up.

UT held Nebraska to just 47 points today. No team before had ever scored fewer than 54 points in a championship match after the rules changed to 25 point sets. (& 1 of those points was from the card given to Elliott)

That was tied for the third fewest points UT allowed in any match this year:

If it wasn't bad enough that Fran's team had to deal with the Wilson ball in their recent tournament loss, Nu is blaming their dismal performance in the championship on cold air movement on the court coming from the ice surface below. It's amazing that it didn't affect the ball movement on the horns side of the court or in the semifinal match.

Wish it would have been a better product or match for people to watch and get excited about. Championship matches are rarely the drubbing that Nebraska took.

I wonder if there will be mutual interest between Kubik and ISU:

I watched the Wisconsin-Texas semi and Skinner, by herself, made it watchable. I didn't have a chance to watch the final but if her play was remotely close to what it was in the previous match that alone would have made it highly entertaining. Witnessing that kind of performance is extremely rare and while it usually IS better to have a hotly contested match her play was a big reason it wasn't.

Those last two matches she was simply an unstoppable force.

yeah I talked to some family really upset they couldn't watch due to this.
I'm pretty sure that all ABC events are available on ESPN+ for free but most people don't know that or don't want to go through the effort of getting there.
