Three plays that stuck out to me that changed the game:
1.) Hockenson dropping the first down pass in the first half
2.) Goalline fumble by cook before half
3.) Detroit executing the fake punt after halftime

Disguised in this loss is the outstanding game played by Cousins. With no protection and no run game to speak of, he threw for 410 and 2 with no turnovers. Giving back the missed OB on Jefferson, it would've been about 450/3/0. You don't lose too many games with those stats.
Kirk still got the passing yards. Only change would be Jefferson getting a TD and yards from Thielen, KJ, and Cook.

The Vikes are playing to many LBs and DBs who should never be on the field. When you're forced to play guys like Shelley it's not going to easy for the Vikes to stop anybody.

The secondary injuries have been really rough. They needed guys like Boone, Cine and Evans to develop this year, and between the 3, they've been injured more than they've been available. It's frustrating, but nothing that can be done about it now. They're still playing with house money as far as I'm concerned.

Okay, so this is WAY premature, but I wanna get it on first.

Any chance the Vikes pick up local kid Trey Lance on the cheap this off-season…the way they did Hockenson?

Quarterbacks who haven’t blossomed depreciate fast, right?

Purdy looking good today, but I doubt the 49ers are throwing in the towel on Lance just yet.

I just want to avoid the eagles and the 49ers as long as possible in the playoffs.

Most likely to get the 49ers in the second round, assuming both win in the first round

Still has 1-2 years left on that rookie contract.
Exactly. He costs them very little to keep on the roster, and they gave up a ton to get him. I highly doubt Minnesota is going to give up what it would take to get the 49ers to trade him.

The Vikings defense is terrible. It was terrible last year too. They started out decent, but they are in full out stink mode now.
