That's great. I don't think we could have expected any better than that.

This is allegedly the allocation chart. Various media outlets are posting it, but nothing from the NCAA.

I know 197 is a very long shot but I wonder if Kysen can sneak in if he doesn’t steal a bid.

Edit: it does seem likely that he would unless several allocated guys get upset.

Iowa
At 125, 6 Allocations, (CR, RPI, Win %age) break is usually (~28, ~28, 70%) Used 28, 28, 72%
Surtin of Mizz is Gold level (8,9, 87.5%)
Poulin of UNC is Silver (9, NR, 85.7%) No RPI, only had 14 matches, I think
Spratley of OSU is Gold (10, 6, 78.26%)
Volk of Wyoming is Silver (13, 5, 70%)
Jordan of SDSU is Gold (14, 16, 73.08%)

Strickenberger is Silver (30, 20, 81.25%) I think he is the 6th

Others
Anderson of UNI (26, NR, 52%)
Griffin of Cal Bap (25, 32, 65%)
Kysen is (29, 26, 67.5%) very borderline
Hendrickson is (NR, 25, 54.55%)

At 197, 6 Allocations, (CR, RPI, Win %age) Used (29, 29, 71%)
Sloan of SDSU is Gold Level (4, 1, 94.74)
Buchanan of Okla is Gold Level (6, 8, 94.44)
Elam of Mizz is Silver (9, NR, 81.82) Not enough matches for an RPI
Bockman of Utah Valley is Gold Level (14, 10, 80)
Surber of OSU is Bronze (20, NR, 70)
Novak of Wyo is Silver (21, 13, 64)
Voelker of UNI is Gold (24, 22, 77.78)

Sliding scale must of kicked Surber out on win %age

FYI,
Looks like Iowa entered
Teske at 133 (bordline alloacation at (25, NR, 75%)
Rathjen at 149, (At Gold Level)
I assume Riggins at 184 (since they are not ranked) (Not in any of criteria)
Hill at 285. (Borderline allocation at (33, 25, 75%)

The way I understand it, is if Iowa changes the guy, no allocation is earned and the wrestle would be unseeded at Big 10 tournament.

So Kysen beat
Strickenberger 10-7
Griffin 4-2
Lillie 9-1
Hendriksen 4-1 OT

Lost to Anderson 8-5 OT
Lost to Spratley 4-2

Hasn't wrestled Surtin, Poulin, Volk or Jordan.

I think if he can definitely get in the top 6.

An Anderson win, probably would have got him an allocation. I guess that is why you wrestle the matches!!!

Not saying he can't do it, but I don't see a win for Broderson with any of these guys unless he cataches someone and pins them. Hope I'm very wrong!

So they are going to keep the shirts on Keuter and Arnold. Probably smart, however I would have wrestled Keuter, because if football takes off for him he may not wrestle again.
