The thing to be cautious about with RPI is as wrestles get to 17 D1 matches, more will be added to that ranking

Yeah, not sure how Harrington missed out on the coaches poll...

Only one I see in is Degen.

Harrington, Straw and Colbray have to be close

Harrington has NeVills of FSU (#28) and needs to beat Isley.

Straw needs to win both this weekend

Colbray getting a win over Holschlag of UNI might lock him in and FSU win

Our early season struggles are hurting our chances. We are much better now, but to many bad losses early on

So, what are our prospects for nationals? Will Parker have enough matches to qualify for a bid? Degen should be good, Colbray good? Then Harrington and Straw, as long as they wrestle to seed at B12s?

Right now, I think only Degen.

Not sure if Parker can earn an at large or needs to steal one.

I think Colbray, Harrington, and Straw need a good weekend against FSU and UNI

Yeah I agree. I was looking back and man we have some head scratching losses. The boys are much improved lately. I think Pestano and Simmons also have a chance but will have to steal a bid at Big 12's.

Stribal of NDSU at 33 at Hwt in coaches poll is interesting, since Harrington just majored him.

And they were both tied for 33rd before this weekend. I really don't understand why Harrington fell off the rankings. His only loss since the last one came out was an 0-4 decision to the guy ranked #11 and he majored Stibral.

Dang. Ok. Fingers crossed they finish strong. 4 or 5 at nationals sounds a bit better than 1.

Interesting that Nato of Ohio State is ranked #14 at 125.

That really stood out to me as well. Yikes.

They also have Mark Hall behind Zahid, whom he lost to at the all-star classic (which is supposed to be an unofficial event), but they don't dock Darian Cruz for losing at the all-star event. The inconsistency is annoying, either Hall should be #1 or Cruz shouldn't.

My very rough look at Big 12 allocations (1st # is Coach rank, 2nd # is RPI)
125 - to bad Sinjin isn't a little better. Looks like we could get 6, maybe 7 Allocations
Picc is #5, Lamont is #6, #1, Moisey is #16, #11, Moody is #17, #12, Schwarm is #19, #10,
Brown is #23,#19. Those 6 should be in, unless they fell apart this weekend. Also have Bianchi at #29, #17 and DeCesare at #32 and #27

133 - I would guess 4 in and 1 close.
Gross is #1, #6, Brock is #3, #8, Bridges is #6, #8 and Montoya is #25, #24. Other chances are Sykora at #28, #28 and Schmitt at #30, #19.

141 - Looks tough for Parker. 3 in and a couple need to finish strong.
Merideth is #1, #6, Heil is #6, #2, Alber is #9, #4. Longshots are Longo at #32, #32 and Rohlfing at UR, #22. (I haven't looked at win %age for Rohlfing)

149 - Degen looks in. looks like 4 in and a couple close
Thomsen #8, #8, Degen is #20, #16, Olivas (FSU) is #21, #19 and Jefferies is #26, #27.
Also Boo Lewellan is UR, #2 in RPI and Gliva is #28, #24
157 - Straw looks close with a lot of guys. 3 in and hope a couple more make it
Ream is #9, #10, Colgan is #10, #16, Zilverberg is #12, #11. Those 3 are in.
Then Blaylock is #30, #18, Mossing is #33, UR, Straw is UR, #28, Ryan is UR, #26

Will finish later

165 - looks like possibly 6 in
Rodgers is #9, UR, Ashworth is #13, #10, Romero is #16, #5, Torres is #20, #16, Forgarty is #22, #24, and Barnes is #25, #11 (haven't looked at Rodgers record for win%age and RPI, think he makes both)
174 - looks like 4 in, possibly 5
Lugan is #7, #8, Kocer is #10, #9, Smith is #12, UR, Mejias is #13, #12, Bastian is #29, #17 (haven't looked at Smith record for RPI & win %age)

184 - looks like 3 in and 2 close
Foster is #10, #5, Mueller is #20, #13, Gabel is #22, #20. Others are Moore is #24, UR and Jantzer UR, #18

197 - looks like 3 in and possibly 2 more if they make RPI and 3 others close
Weigel is #3, UR, Rotert is #12, #7, Holsclage is #14, #5. Need RPI are Seely at #20,UR and Smith at #21, UR. Then have McLaughlin at #31, UR, Colbray at #33,#23 and Orndorff at #33, #18.

Hwt - looks like 1 in and 4 close.
White is #11, #10. Then Dennison is #27, #28, NeVills is #28, #13, Stribal is #33, #30 and Marcus is UR, #31.

Marcus has recent wins over NeVills and Stribal, but lose to UR Isley
