The one of the boy receiving his dads flag in memorial and the one where the dad knelt near his sons name on the 9/11 memorial got me.

I would think the one of the dog lying in front of the SEAL from Iowa's casket would be on there. Also the celebration in NYC after Osama was killed.

This one was pretty powerful.

I had never seen this photo before. And can't believe it exists. It had to be taken by the Nazi's and I wouldn't have thought they would have allowed photo of a POW standing up to one of the most major figures in the German Army see the light of day.

If this list is supposed to be a ranking, I can't comprehend how the Tianeman Square picture is not number one. That picture is the epitome of courage. Also I would say a pic of a plane hitting one of the twin towers, or perhaps the chaos that ensued. Isn't there a pic with a firetruck just covered in ash or something along those lines?

Me neither, and I am pretty big WWII buff. Awesome picture. Himmler and Tojo could have been long lost cousins.

Not to derail too much, but the vancouver one seems odd, although I kind of wish I'd been at that riot.

How could they miss this. It's the most famous one ever. Jack and Rose are what makes the Titanic disaster so sad and tragic.

After living in South Africa and visiting this location and museum, I will never forget this Apartheid photo of Hector Pieterson in the Soweto riots...
