Today on the The Herd, Collin suggested that there are 5 criteria that determine how many games a program will win (on average). Does anyone have any bases for how ISU rates in these 5 catagories?
1) In-state recruiting. (Factor in both how many good players there are in Iowa and how good ISU is at getting those players)
Anyone know how the state of Iowa ranks for football tallent and how many of those players ISU usually gets?
2) Acedemic Requirements (how difficult is it for a student-athelete to get acepted to ISU)
Does ISU have any requirements above NCAA minimums?
3) Program History
I would suggest that ISU would rate pretty low in this catagory.
4) City's appeal to high school students
I would suggest that ISU would rate near the middle of the pack compared to other BCS school cities.
5) Conference Difficulty
All things considered, I think ISU should be a 6 to 7 win program. What do you think?
