#5 IN THE WORLD! Most Beautiful Campus

I would defend ISU's campus to anyone...but #5 in the world seems a tad overdone!

No Oxford? Cambridge? Princeton?

Or put another way...ISU has the plaque by Curtiss that central campus is an American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) Medallion site...one of three campus designated as such. The other central campuses were Yale and UVA....which also did not make the list.

Iowa State's campus is beautiful. I loved walking to class(when I went).

The only times I didn't love walking to class was in late January or February, or if I had 5 minutes to get clear across campus. But then again, "when I went" probably applies to both situations.

I took my kids on campus to take photos of them this weekend. The foliage was just beautiful - and I had to laugh, because we had to dodge at least four couples getting their engagement photos taken professionally at the same time.

My son goes to Colorado State. Great school and Ft Collins is a super town but the campus is pretty generic. Not sure how it made the list other than the view of the mountains. I wonder why they did not show a picture of the railroad tracks that runs through the middle of campus.

After ISU my vote goes to Oklahoma for best campus. Hate the Sooners but their campus is well laid out and all the buildings tie in together nicely.

Never have ever been so cold in my life since walking from Towers to the Design Building in the middle of -50 wind chill temps in February. Couldn't put on enough clothes, nor walk through enough buildings en route. Then get to class and sweat like a pig.

The problem with our campus is school for most isn't in session in summer.
