I was curious so I went to look at the 2015 recruiting class for Illinois. They had the 24th ranked class according to Rivals and signed 2 4* kids.

Alex Golesh was assigned to both of these guys.
Megginson was an Illinois kid so you might think that he was an easy target. Vaughn was from Nashville and had offers from Tennessee and Vandy...among many others. Pulling a kid from SEC country with multiple SEC offers is pretty impressive. Oh, he also had offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Notre Dame...to name a few.
He was assigned to kids from all over the US, as well. DC, OH, IL, TN, CA, TX, FL.
Edit: In his 3 years at Illinois, they signed 18 kids that were 3* or above that he was recruiting, and only 7 kids that were 2*.
