I dont understand or know the Naming Rights rules, but seems to me an alternate winning formula will be for your Booster Company owners to NIL the kids at say $3-5 million and give your coach $3-5 million, paying a coach $10 mill is insane.....

So is it an offer, or a done deal?

Only place I have seen it is done deal is here. ND players seem to be reacting to reports, not anything from Kelly. I have thought he might be squeezing a retirement plan out of ND, but not sure. I do think D coordinator or the coach that beat them, Fickell, might be choices before MC when we were ranked so high and finished 7-5. We know he’s a great choice but they would have to sell the boosters on him.

According to Irish Breakdown, their guesses as to Kelly Replacement are: Marcus Freeman, Bob Stoops (which would be salty for OU fans to lose two coaches the same day), Jeff Brohm, and Fickell. Guys were all down on CMC.

Stoops would be great for the obvious reasons.

I'm really surprised LSU didn't pursue Joe Brady. He was the architect of that 2019 LSU offense - could be the next Lincoln Riley.

Stupid LSU. He’s not worth that ****. I suspect he won’t be their coach in 4 years.

Depending what the buyout is, he might be. Granted the SEC may be swimming in some serious to coin for LSU to be buying out coaching contracts.

Completely off topic but I've also found it wild that professional athletes' checks are impacted by where a game is played. They might live and be employed in Texas (no income tax) but they're taxed on games played in other states. Must be a nice niche market for accountants who want to manage all that stuff for them.

It's no different than construction. I have construction clients who have to withhold taxes in non-iowa states when they do work there. It's really not that big of a issue.
