Is it a 'turn around' if the team stinks after they leave? Did Tom Brady turn the Patriots around? That implies they are going forward now?

Bradshaw was a helluva playoff star but man his career regular season stats aren't much.
Not sure if five years counts as a couple. It absolutely is Tom, and I'm not even a big fan of the guy. The Pats don't win six super bowls without him, who knows if they even win one. Another point that Tom should get more credit than Belichick for the Pats success is that Tom won another super bowl in his first year on a new team and Belichick is .500 post-Brady and has yet to win a playoff game.
If anyone followed the Packers in the 70's and 80's, this wouldn't even be a question. When your first round pick, 4th overall, decides to play in the CFL instead of your team, your franchise is beyond ****, and that was Green Bay before Favre.
All good choices but I went with Breese. The saints were nothing since forever or when Papa Manning showed up (kinda). I also took into consideration what he did for the city after Katrina.
That I didn't know but I'd guess that was more common in that era?
He still had some great players around him. Was a pretty rugged dude though.
Without Purdy on the list for the next 10 straight Super Bowls he's going to lead the 49ers to, the poll is hardly relevant.

I guess it sort of goes with it in a way but Brady also had the luxury of playing in a division where the other teams were almost never a threat.
You can look through these to see a teams relative quality over the years to get a better idea of the impact of each of these QBs. Based on this, it looks like Favre (Packers), Manning (Colts), and Brees (Saints) qualify as turning around long struggling franchises. The others and others stops for some of these guys occurred after much shorter downturns, except for Brady in Tampa
