I'm not going to post the poll, in deference to CarrollCyclone. But, it is interesting to note we dropped one spot. The drop was because Oregon beat top 10 Cal and Stanford and had to move up, displacing us. Oregon is peaking, beating two good teams on the road to which they had previously lost at home. I'm concerned about our focus at season's end. We struggled against K-State and went to 5 to beat Baylor. It close to tournament time.

So do we get jobbed for tournament seeding and hosting? UNI is high ranked but dropped their opening match last year while hosting. We have had some crappy seeds in the past, playing regionals in Omaha against NU and Austin against the Longhorns. Would hate to see a choice between opening rounds at UNI or here in Hilton and getting sent away somewhere as not a top sixteen even with an RPI of #2. Maybe I am paranoid but unless we are solidly in the Top 10 I worry about getting dissed.

CJL was interviewed at halftime of the MBB game. She made no promises, noted that A&M is a good team. She also mentioned the RPI - wow, no way we're #2, but, I can't see how we don't host with a top 16 seed if we beat A&M.
