Re: Bad bad news

Wieben, a 6-foot-4 junior from Ankeny, is the second Iowa State post player to be lost with an ACL injury in four weeks. Power forward Toccara Ross tore hers in a Dec. 21 game against Minnesota.

Not good news for the Twister Sisters

Just sickening.
Let's just hope that she can heal and rehab and be healthy for next season.

Has anyone heard anything about Toccara's medical red shirt?

I feel bad for this team. I supposed it could be a blessing in disguise if some others get significant playing time and we have more contributors next year with greater depth.

Praying for a successful recovery for you NW!

Rats!!!!! Nicki personified drive, intensity, and grit. I'm sure that this will only strengthen her resolve. We can only hope that her willpower will infect the rest of the time as they complete this season. If it does, look out next year.

Not sure of the rules, but she must be 3-4 games past being able to get the Medical Redshirt?

Very sad and my 5 year old daughter will be totally crushed.

Did Bjerke transfer for playing time? She could have had some this year. Never thought that would be a big deal, but we could miss her quite a bit this year.

I'm a nomad.
Reading this news makes me want to kick something....hard. I'm not sure what to kick, but right now, at the top of my list is my co-workers gumball machine. Frankly, I've never liked the stupid thing. I mean, who brings a gumball machine into work? This is the perfect excuse to finally put the kibosh on that machine.

I hope the rest of the WBB season is not going to be like my co-workers gumball machine...completely ruined.
